Our Messages
Each week, Pastor John prepares a message (sermon) directly relating the scripture to life. The Bible is a guide to living life the way it was meant to be lived. It connects us with our creator and savior. Scripture is truth that is not bound by a circumstance or a method. It is simply true, no matter where you come from or what you are facing. It is NOT a list of do’s and do not’s. The word of God is dynamic and applies to people from all walks of life and all situations. God’s word is at the center of all the messages preached in this church.
Pastor John uses a lot of series. He does not follow a litany or outline but creates sermon series to better develop larger topics or more completely cover portions of scripture. This spring the entire sermon on the mount (Matthew 5-7) was covered. Other recent series topics have included; community, the Book of Jonah, and the basics of faith.
Currently, we are covering the idea of Renewal.
August 5th – Renewal: Given a New Identity (Colossians 3:10-11)
August 12th – Renewal: The Rediscovery of Purpose (Jeremiah 29:11-13)
August 19th – Renewal: Extending the Hand of Grace (Leviticus 19:33-34)
